Propane (LPG)

Propane, also known as liquefied petroleum gas, is a byproduct of natural gas processing. Refueling is similar to filling a gas grill tank. If purchased in bulk, Propane costs are approximately 20 percent less than gasoline. Limited Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) vehicle types and after-market conversions are available. Incremental costs for Propane option range from $2,500-$5,000. Driving range is comparable to gasoline. There is less corrosion and engine wear. There are currently more than 200,000 LPG vehicles on the road today, including delivery, utility and heavy-duty vehicles.
