Southeast School Bus Safety Road-e-o Held in
Pikeville
The
Southeast School Bus Safety Road - e - o, held in Pikeville,
Ky. involved 35 bus driver representatives from Kentucky to
Florida. Contestants compete in a number of scored events
including turns, clearances, loading and safety inspection.
The winner goes on to compete in the National Road - e - o
in North Carolina. Three Kentucky bus drivers earned spots
in the top 10.
A
2010 Thomas Built Hybrid Electric school bus was on display
at the Road-e-o. Barry Zink, On Highway Manager, Whayne
Power Systems, was on hand for demonstration and questions.
