Fort Knox Military Base Reaps Benefit of Propane-Powered Landscape Maintenance

Mainscape, a national lanscape maintenance operation, based in Fishers, Indiana has recently purchased 15 "eXmark" Propane mowers and is converting five pick up trucks to Propane, all, on the Fort Knox military installation south of Louisville.

This is a company wide initiative according to Chris Gonzalez, Operations Manager at the Fort Knox, KY location, with Fort Knox leading the way.

Mainscape is using an average of 550 gallons of Propane weekly. Local gas provider, Irvington Gas, delivers fuel to Mainscape fueling site on post.

In addition to commercial contracts, Mainscape has landscaping contracts with various military installations, Fort Knox, Kentucky, Camp Lejune, North Carolina, Fort Benning, Georgia, Fort Drum, TX, Scofield Barracks, Hawaii and Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
