Final Round of Funding Awarded for Hybrid School Buses

(08.31.2012) The Kentucky Department of Education announced today that two school districts in Kentucky will receive funding for the purchase of hybrid electric school buses. Bullitt County will receive $311,945 for the purchase of five buses and Campbell County $64,091 for one hybrid bus.

These six bring the total to 168 on order or in operation across the state.

Kentucky has the largest hybrid electric school bus fleet in the nation.
